She saw.
She sensed her sacrificial standing.
Sympathetically, smiling starts.
Salt-laden specks seek succour; seperation,
Serpentine streams streak southward.
She sobs.
Sorrowful singing stops; silence surrounds.
She sinks, shaking.
Soul shrinking sadness supplants strength.
Suddenly, stepping straight,
Striding soulfully, solemnly, swain-like,
Seeming stranger snags sadness.
Stooping, suitor scoops spouse,
Speech stutters, scared:
‘Sweetheart.’
